01 Who we are
This site, localingo.io, is published by Markingo, a business registered in British Columbia and based in Vancouver, Canada. Localingo is a Markingo service.
Markingo is responsible for any personal information this site or our email handles, under Canada's PIPEDA and British Columbia's PIPA. Privacy questions go to Shivam Bindal at shivam@markingo.io.
02 What the site keeps
Nothing. It is a set of plain pages with no account, no sign-in and no database. It sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser.
It runs no analytics, no advertising pixels and no scripts from anyone else, and its fonts and images are served from this site.
03 Your city
Parts of the site can offer your own city, for example as a town in the library you sketch. To do that, the page asks our server which city your visit came from, as the network that delivers the page estimates it from your IP address.
It answers with a city only for visits from the US and Canada, and the answer is used once, on your screen. We do not store it, log it or send it anywhere, and it is marked so no browser or proxy keeps a copy.
04 Asking for your 2 pages
The Get your 2 pages form sends nothing itself. When you press Send me my 2 pages, it opens a new email in your own mail app, addressed to shivam@markingo.io, with what you typed in it. Nothing leaves your device until you send that email yourself.
If no mail app opens, you can copy the same details and send them from wherever you write email.
05 When you write to us
If you email shivam@markingo.io, your message and your address are kept in that mailbox as ordinary correspondence. We use them to answer you and, if you become a client, to do the work.
We never sell them or share them with advertisers. Tell us to stop writing and we stop.
06 Our host
The site is delivered by Cloudflare. Like any web host, it handles your IP address and the details of each request, such as the page asked for and your browser, to deliver the page and keep the site safe, under its own privacy policy at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
07 Links
Sites we link to, and the mail app that opens when you write to us, keep their own privacy policies.
08 Children
This site is for businesses. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly receive anything from anyone under 16.
09 Your rights
You can ask what personal information we hold about you, which can only be what you have emailed us, and ask us to correct it or delete it. Write to shivam@markingo.io; we answer within 30 days, free of charge.
If you are unhappy with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or to the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.
10 Clients
Paid work runs under its own written agreement, which sets out how we handle the access and the information you give us for it.
11 Changes
If what the site does changes, this page changes first, with a new date at the top.
